De-Christmasing of the house is at 90% but we are currently experiencing a little anarchy.
It’s only 18 days passed Christmas, what’s another month or two of bright shiny red things up around the house. Isn’t Valentine’s Day coming soon? Red goes with that, right? (Work with me people. I have angry kitt-ons that are not open to the idea of faux pine boughs being put away.)

If we’ve learned anything from the SF Zoo attack, it’s leave the cats alone! Let them have their boughs!
Yes, exactly. And this one is extremely feisty.
I can’t say anything here, lest the kitty adoption folks find out and hold it against me. I can empathize, though, as The Toddler Queen has been quite clear in her edicts re. our tree.
My bestest friend has a tree exclusively for his cats.
OTOH, the familial house cleaner limits his family to fairy lights on a ficus. Frankly, I think he may be onto something.
Too funny! At least the tree isn’t flocked, it would be everywhere!
Nah, the tree is real but we get the fake swag, just to appease him I usually leave it in a pile in the basement so he can pretend he’s a fierce outdoor cat hiding under the brush. It’s absolutely hysterical to watch him hide behind the pile, wiggle his little butt, and then pounce on your feet.
Somehow he manages to turn his little body upsidedown when he goes for your feet so his back legs end up somewhere around your knees while he’s snacking on your toes.
Maybe they make ghillie suits for kitties…
